Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the people of Delhi want that the lockdown imposed in view of the Coronavirus is not fully opened at the moment. CM Kejriwal said that a large number of Delhiites want that the lockdown should be opened with conditions. He said that as per the suggestions received from the public, most people in Delhi are not in favor of opening salons and spas. At the same time, people have also suggested taking strict action on not wearing masks. Also, people suggest that markets should be opened on the basis of the odd-even scheme.
It is worth noting that recently in a meeting with the Chief Ministers of all the states, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked for suggestions regarding the lockdown, he said that the states can reach their suggestions by May 15. In this context, the CM of Delhi sought online suggestions from the people of the state regarding the lockdown.
CM Kejriwal informed that lakhs of people of Delhi have sent suggestions to the government. He said that in the last 24 hours, the Delhi government received suggestions of about five lakh WhatsApp messages, more than 10 thousand emails and more than 39 thousand phone calls. CM Kejriwal further said that most people say that schools and colleges should not open yet, hotels should also be closed. However, suggestions have been received to open a restaurant with home delivery.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the general consensus of the people of the state is that social distancing should be mandatory. Many people said that public buses and metro operations should start in Delhi.
