Explain that along with sending Mukesh’s mercy petition to the President, it was recommended to be dismissed by the Union Home Ministry. Following this, this petition has been dismissed by the President. Earlier, it was sent to Lt. Governor Anil Baijal, appealing to the Delhi government to dismiss the petition.

Please tell that in the past, the guilty Mukesh Singh had given mercy petition to Tihar Jail Administration. The petition came to the President through the Tihar administration, then the Delhi Government, then the Lieutenant Governor and then the Union Home Ministry.

President has the right to waive sentence

Please tell here that the convict who is hanged can file mercy petition to get mercy with the President. At the same time, the President has the right under Article 72 of the Constitution that he can waive the death sentence.

Political confusion overhanging

At the same time, after the death warrant is issued, the hanging of the convicts of Nirbhaya is aroused in the political corridor of Delhi. Election in-charge of Delhi BJP and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar blamed the Delhi government of AAP for this. At the same time, Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia said that how can a minister of the Central Government lie so big on such a sensitive issue. The Delhi government is in favor of bringing the culprits of Nirbhaya to death soon. The same Javadekar says that the AAP government has become insensitive in the case of crimes related to women.

The Union Minister questioned the Arvind Kejriwal government as to why the Delhi government did not give notice to the convicts for filing mercy petition in the last two and a half years. In 2017, the Supreme Court dismissed the convicts’ appeal and sentenced them to death. However, he was not punished by the attitude of the Kejriwal government. If the government had given notice to the culprits within a week of the Supreme Court order, they would have got the death penalty.

Meenakshi Lekhi made serious allegations against AAP candidate

Meenakshi Lekhi alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party has made a relative of the accused of raping another girl.

AAP hit back

On the BJP, Sisodia said that I heard the statement of Javadekar, I am very sad to hear that. A case for which the entire country, our judicial system, and Nirbhaya’s parents are waiting for the verdict, are lying on such a sensitive issue. The Delhi government is in favor of hanging the culprits at the earliest. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the police administration and the Ministry of Home Affairs are in your hands. The appointment of the Director-General of Tihar is in your hands and you are saying that the Delhi Government did not. He asked Javadekar that you ask the Home Minister why he did not take any action when the administration of Tihar comes under him, why is he running away from his responsibility? Sisodia said that if nothing can be done from you, then give police administration under Delhi government for only 2 days, we will show the convicts of Nirbhaya by hanging.

Near Delhi’s Law and Order Center: AAP

MP Sanjay Singh said that the mercy petition was rejected by the Delhi government in just a few hours. The whole country knows that Delhi’s law and order are in the hands of the Center.
